Observed Continuous-Line Contour Drawings
In this activity we were allowed to look at what we were drawing on the paper but still were not allowed to pick up our pencil. Being able to look at the object and the paper at the same time made it a little easier. You were able to put it in perspective and try your best to draw what you saw. "Continuous- Line drawing is unbroken from the beginning to the end." At the same time this was hard too, not being able to erase was a struggle.
Blind Continuous-Line Contour Drawing
"A contour line is more spatially descriptive, it can define an interior complexity of planes and shapes." In this activity we were to look at an object and drawing what we saw without picking up our pencil. It was fun seeing the finished result of this activity, our objects were very distorted and looked funny. Thinking outside the box is very helpful at times.
